On December 25th, the highly anticipated 16th Redwood Furniture Brand Summit (hereinafter referred to as the Redwood Brand Summit) was grandly held in Tianjin, the host city of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.

The summit was jointly hosted by the Committee of Redwood Furniture of the National Federation of Industrial and Commercial Associations and NetEase News Furniture, with strong support from four national-level industry associations: the Federation of Industry and Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the China Wood and Wood Products Trade Association, the China Collectors Association, and the Redwood Branch of the China Forest Products Industry Association.
At this summit, former member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former vice president of the National Federation of Industrial and Commercial Associations, Cheng Lu, gave an engaging speech on the topic of "Economic Trends under the 15th Five-Year Plan and Opportunities in the Redwood Industry".

Dear entrepreneurs, esteemed redwood professionals:
Yesterday, a friend mentioned that in this cold winter and economic environment, it is truly a rare occurrence for us to gather together. We come from Zhejiang, Zhongshan, Dongguan, Xinhui, and other places, but we all share a common name – redwood professionals. We care about the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, the rebirth of redwood furniture in the AI era, and how traditional industries can move towards a new stage of development.

The term "cold" refers to both the macroeconomic situation and the positioning and出路 of redwood furniture within it. Currently, all three horses – exports, investment, and consumption – are facing pressures. Although China's trade surplus has significantly increased in the first 11 months, recent exports are still on a downward trend; investment, especially in the real estate sector, has been declining continuously; and consumption is overall weak, with purchasing power普遍不足, except for a few bright spots like tourism.

Redwood furniture is closely related to the real estate industry, but it is not completely dependent on it. The real estate industry is currently going through a deep adjustment, and the country has clearly stated that it will promote its stable development. In recent days, from policies of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development to the relaxation of purchase restrictions in Beijing and other places, a series of measures are being taken to release positive signals. This is not only a turning point for the real estate industry but also a favorable factor for the redwood furniture industry.

At the same time, the country is taking multiple measures to stimulate domestic demand and encourage consumption. Redwood furniture should no longer be simply regarded as a luxury good, but as a necessity for life aesthetics and cultural承载. It represents the inheritance of a thousand years of craft and spiritual pursuit. In the stage of high-quality development, it is also an important carrier for improving the quality of life and demonstrating cultural soft power.

Our country is already a manufacturing powerhouse, with hard power that is evident to all. However, our soft power is yet to be strengthened. Redwood furniture, as an important symbol of Chinese traditional culture, embodies the philosophy of "unity of heaven and man" through its mortise and tenon technology and artifact aesthetics. It is an embodiment of cultural soft power.
Looking forward to the "15th Five-Year Plan", the redwood furniture industry should actively integrate into the national development agenda, uphold cultural confidence, promote green environmental protection, and actively embrace AI technology – leveraging AI in design, production, marketing, and other links to open up innovative paths.

We must actively embrace AI technology. In all aspects of design, production, consumption, and inheritance, AI will become our powerful assistant and important partner. By leveraging AI for development, the redwood furniture industry is sure to open up a broader future.

We have a stable high-end consumer group, mature manufacturing teams, policy orientations for national encouragement of consumption, and a gradually warming real estate market. We believe that the redwood furniture industry will surely overcome the "cold" and play a more important role in promoting economic growth, improving the quality of life, and promoting intangible cultural heritage.
