Design Industry Impact Creators - Little Things, Big Impact

On November 11, 2025, the "Finding Design Industry Impact Creators - Cover Story Character City Salon" co-hosted by Interior Design Chinese Edition and Schneider Electric was held in Suzhou. This season focused on the profound connotation and design inspiration behind "Little Things, Big Impact". Founder of Cas Design Studio, Ding Yunfei, was invited to attend and was interviewed by Sina Home, interpreting "Little Things, Big Impact" from both logical and emotional dimensions.

Ding Yunfei proposed that the core of design is to "penetrate the surface and reshape the vitality of space with invisible logic". His studio focuses on three major sectors: hotels, districts, and private homes, aiming to "update contemporary lifestyles" through design.

Contrary to understanding "Little Things" as specific details, Ding Yunfei elevates it to the level of methodology: "Little Things are the underlying logic of solving problems, and Big Impact is the ultimate presentation of reshaping the vitality of a project". He emphasizes that designers need to accurately capture the core issues of the project, through the intertwining of spatial order, cultural connotation, and commercial demands, to build a unique spatial aesthetics and spiritual state. In recent years, he has observed that homeowners' aesthetic standards have rapidly improved, with an increasing pursuit of "independent aesthetic system" and "spatial orderliness".

Looking ahead, Ding Yunfei believes that the liberating nature of design lies in "breaking through traditional cognition and endowing space with the beautiful feelings of interaction with people", which is the key to driving industry innovation with the "Little Things, Big Impact" philosophy.
